Balancing emotions during a full moon can be especially important, since it tends to amplify energy, stir up emotions, and even affect sleep. Here are some ways to stay grounded and emotionally balanced:



1. Acknowledge the Energy

The full moon often brings things to the surface. You might feel more emotional, anxious, or energized.

  • Journal it out: Write down what you're feeling without judgment.

  • Reflect: Ask yourself what the emotion is trying to show you.

2. Breathe & Ground

When emotions run high, grounding techniques help anchor you.

  • Deep breathing: Try box breathing (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4).

  • Nature time: Walk barefoot on grass, touch a tree, or sit under the moon.

3. Practice Mindfulness

Stay present. The moon can stir up past wounds or future anxieties.

  • Meditation: Even 5 minutes of mindful breathing helps.

  • Moon gazing: Sit quietly and watch the moon—it’s calming and centering.

4. Release Ritual

Let go of what no longer serves you.

  • Write what you want to release on paper and burn it (safely).

  • Speak intentions aloud—what are you ready to let go of?

5. Cleanse Your Space

Energetic clutter can add to emotional overload.

  • Smudge with sage or palo santo.

Mini Full Moon Ritual (15–30 min)

You’ll need:

  • A candle (white or any calming color)

  • A journal or piece of paper

  • Pen

  • A bowl of water or a cup of tea

  • Optional: crystals (moonstone, selenite, amethyst), sage/incense

1. Set the Space

  • Light your candle.

  • Cleanse the space with sage or incense if you have it.

  • Take a few deep breaths—imagine breathing in calm and exhaling heaviness.

2. Write & Release

  • Journal: “What am I ready to release?” Let the thoughts flow.

  • Write a list on a separate paper of what no longer serves you—old habits, fears, patterns.

  • Read it out loud (if you feel comfortable). Then, safely burn or tear it.

3. Speak Your Truth

Place your hand on your heart or solar plexus and say aloud:

“Under this full moon, I release what no longer aligns with my highest self. I make space for peace, clarity, and growth.”

You can personalize it too—make it yours.

4. Sip & Soothe

Drink your water or tea slowly. Imagine it cleansing you from the inside out. Feel gratitude. Just being here is enough.
